Wait for me?!

True Love Waits

Those words were meant for you

But I was selfish

I was living for the moment

Lost and feeling alone

I broke my promise to you

Before I even knew you

True Love Waits

I broke that

How could someone love me

Really love the likes of me

But you are out there

Loving me no matter what I’ve done

The Lord saved you for me

I’ve made my mistakes and so have you

But God said I have someone

Someone special for you

no matter where you’ve been

or what you’ve done

I saved him for you

He will love you no matter what

Just keep waiting and he will come

The Lord’s plan is on it’s own perfect timing

So True love really does wait

It never said it would be perfect

It never said it wouldn’t have it’s obstacles to overcome

It never said it wouldn’t have a past

But it did say it would wait

No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done

You always have a second chance

You are forgiven

You only need to ask

Now all you have to do is wait

Because True Love DOES Wait

It’s waiting for you

We live in a culture that says if you love them give it all away and enjoy being intimate with the one you love. But then you grow and you realize that the love wasn’t true and you break up, but our society says it’s okay. Just keep on giving away pieces of yourself until you find the right one.

Let me ask you this..

If you give away a piece of yourself to every guy you think you love..

….when you do find the right guy..how many pieces of yourself have you left behind..

How many pieces did you leave that you can never pick up again on your own?

The Lord can help you pick up those pieces but how much strain will this cause you.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just wait?

The world tells us how good being intimate with another person can feel but they leave out the emotions and the problems that arise from this momentary pleasure. They leave out what it does to a relationship and how it clouds a person’s mind into thinking the relationship is good, and then they end up marrying someone that the Lord didn’t intent for them to marry. He had someone else waiting for them but they chose to go for the momentary pleasures over a life time of happiness based on the Lord.

Even though we live in a culture that says you don’t have to wait anymore. If you choose to view sex the way it was created and wait I can promise you that even though you will be going against the newly found norm; that it will be worth the wait. Sex was intended for a marriage not for you to leave pieces of yourself with every person you find attractive, or think you love, because one day you’re going to want those pieces back.

Speaking form personal experience don’t give into the world and give a part of yourself away because you will wish you hadn’t given such a large part of yourself to someone you later realize you didn’t care much for. It crushes a part of you that will always leave you jealous of those who did wait. Even though it may make you different to wait it is worth it. If you’re like me and you didn’t wait you can start now, ask God to help you start picking up your pieces! Even though waiting for the right guy might make you feel a little lonely, one day you will be with the man of your dreams and all that time will have been completely worth it, when you get to spend the rest of your life with prince charming. While you are waiting and feeling alone let the Lord fill it up because you are never alone He is always with you, providing you comfort.

So wait!

Because True Love IS Waiting for You!

“You know the guidelines we laid out for you from the Master Jesus. God wants you to live a pure life. Keep yourself from sexual promiscuity. Learn to appreciate and give dignity to your body, not abusing it, as is so common among those who know nothing of God.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 MSG

“Don’t you realize that this is not the way to live? Unjust people who don’t care about God will not be joining in his kingdom. Those who use and abuse each other, use and abuse sex, use and abuse the earth and everything in it, don’t qualify as citizens in God’s kingdom. A number of you know from experience what I’m talking about, for not so long ago you were on that list. Since then, you’ve been cleaned up and given a fresh start by Jesus, our Master, our Messiah, and by our God present in us, the Spirit. Just because something is technically legal doesn’t mean that it’s spiritually appropriate. If I went around doing whatever I thought I could get by with, I’d be slave to my whims. You know the old saying, “First you eat to live, and then you live to eat?” Well, it may be true that the body is only a temporary thing, but that’s no excuse for stuffing your body with food, or indulging it with sex. Since the Master, honors you with a body, honor him with your body!” 1 Corinthians 6: 9-13
